This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Research Engineer based in Mexico. This role sits at the intersection of research and engineering, where ideas are transformed into working systems that can be tested, validated, and iterated under real-world constraints. You will build the technical foundations that enable rapid experimentation across decision systems, simulation environments, and AI-driven pipelines. The environment is highly exploratory, requiring strong comfort with ambiguity and fast-changing requirements. You will work closely with research teams to translate conceptual models into executable prototypes and scalable experimental frameworks. Your work directly enables research velocity by reducing the gap between theory and validation. This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on building robust experimental infrastructure rather than production feature delivery. You will play a key role in shaping how research is tested, measured, and evolved over time within the organization. Accountabilities: Design and build experimental research prototypes and sandbox environments, translating conceptual ideas into modular, testable systems that enable rapid validation of new approaches. Develop evaluation frameworks and benchmarking tools to assess decision systems, ensuring research outputs can be measured consistently and rigorously. Implement experimental architectures and pipelines that support iterative testing, A/B experimentation, and structured comparison of models and approaches. Maintain and evolve research infrastructure, ensuring reproducibility, stability and scalability of experimental workflows across teams. Collaborate closely with research scientists to translate theoretical models into runnable systems and provide early technical feedback on feasibility and constraints. Support system integration efforts by identifying engineering limitations early and helping refine research directions based on technical reality. Requirements: Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building systems that emphasize modularity, reliability and maintainability in complex environments. Experience working with experimental, prototype‑driven or research‑adjacent systems, ideally in AI, analytics or advanced technical environments. Comfortable working in ambiguous, research-oriented settings where requirements evolve and clarity must be actively created through iteration. Familiarity with AI pipelines, decision systems or data‑driven architectures, and understanding how to structure systems for evaluation and experimentation. Ability to balance speed and rigor effectively, producing working systems quickly while maintaining clarity, reproducibility and technical quality. Clear communication and collaboration with researchers and engineers, especially in contexts where concepts are still being defined. Benefits: Competitive compensation aligned with experience and technical depth. Fully remote and flexible working arrangements. Opportunity to work on cutting‑edge research and experimental AI systems. High autonomy in shaping experimental infrastructure and technical direction. Collaborative environment with research-driven engineering teams. Learning and development opportunities in AI, systems design and applied research. Exposure to advanced decision systems and simulation-based methodologies. #J-18808-Ljbffr
