As a BPA Manager supporting the Corporate Functions team, you will be responsible for direct financial planning and decision support for the IT organization. Core capabilities for this role include autonomous month‑end close support, direct business partnering for the IT leadership team and their finance SPOCs, project accounting involving complex technology investments, and ad‑hoc financial analysis as needed. The individual should exhibit effective communication skills and have a desire to grow within the organization. In this role, a typical day will include: Experience running month‑end close processes with autonomy and adherence to timelines, with no major accounting issues. Mastery of fundamental variance analysis, ability to distill and synthesize issues, and communicate key messages to supported finance and business teams for corrective action. Technical competency to build, load, and validate financial planning submissions in appropriate systems (Strat Plan, Budget, periodic forecasts, etc.). Desire to build strong and productive relationships with business partners in an evolving landscape, including shifting priorities and dynamic resource allocation. Ability to challenge status quo and assumptions from business constructively to ensure financial objectives are met. Lead and develop BPA Financial Analyst, ITCI in core BPA skills around monthly forecasting & planning and month‑end activities, including capex reporting, accruals, and prepaids. What You’ll Bring to Alcon: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration. 5+ years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role. Exceptional numerical and analytical abilities, capable of using data tools to drive decision‑making and managing large pools of data in Excel. Proactive, enthusiastic, and curious with a solid ability to think creatively and develop new solutions. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and work in high pressure situations. Desire to learn about technology investments. Excellent written and verbal English skills.
