We are seeking a talented individual to join our Legal & Compliance team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mexico’s City office (Arcos Bosques). This is a hybrid role that requires working in the office at least three days a week. What can you expect? The role is to serve as a trusted Legal & Compliance Counsel (Insurance or Broker Insurance Experience) for Marsh, providing high quality, effective, and efficient support across all business lines. The role will encompass both legal and compliance responsibilities, spanning compliance policies and procedures, monitoring, training and communications, regulatory compliance support, and contract and compliance management initiatives. Support and advise legal entities within the business for the various internal lines of business of Marsh, including drafting and reviewing complex agreements/contracts with clients, service providers, insurers, and business partners. Review and investigate compliance cases; support the implementation of new regulations; coordinate with external law firms on civil, intellectual property, criminal, labor, and corporate matters. Advise the lines of business on conflict‑of‑interest issues, sanctions, gift and entertainment matters, and policy compliance. Address regulatory requirements. Partner with senior colleagues in contract negotiations, compliance, and maintenance of existing and new legal contracts. Manage relationships with external law firms. Team Workflow Management Manage day‑to‑day internal and external activities. Mentor junior team members. Manage workflow timelines appropriately. Qualifications A qualified lawyer with significant experience in corporate matters at an insurance broker, insurance, or financial services company. 3+ years of experience in a related contract management discipline in the private sector, demonstrating a proven track record of coordinating teams to deliver appropriate outcomes. Strong communication and influence skills. Strong technical knowledge of corporate and commercial law. Track record in planning and organizing effectively, creating value and capturing knowledge. Ability to support and embrace change. Team player willing to support and contribute as a business partner. Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively with attorneys. Technical review experience related to contractual terms and conditions. Mandatory English proficiency. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
