Purpose The goal of the Senior Financial Accountant is to support the Regional Finance Manager and the Global Finance team with financial reporting, financial analysis, planning, process improvement, and operational performance improvement. The Senior Financial Accountant will analyze and prepare the company's financial transactions with accurate and timely monthly financial statements within a defined timeline outlining material movements or variances for Management review. Responsibilities Performs Monthly the financial close process, including timely and accurate review, posting of month end and accounting transactions and completion of the monthly close processing of the financial system with relevant reconciliations and commentary where required for the responsible entities Assists in the timely preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statement for completeness including P&L, Balance Sheet and variance analysis Work with Operations Finance and project managers on project status, billing milestones and cash receipts, including issuing sales invoices to customers Responsible for cash forecast preparation and review bi-weekly Review of revenue recognition on a monthly basis to ensure all relevant data has been captured at inception of project and is being updated by project managers on an ongoing basis. Highlighting nonstandard projects to gain guidance and ensure compliance with Group accounting policy. Ensure required payment run (ACH) payments to vendors are completed in line with company guidelines Acts as a point of contact for all financial control related issues in assigned entities Responsible to ensure all statutory and compliance returns for the assigned legal entity, including statutory audits, tax compliance and tax audits are sufficiently completed and on time Maintenance of budget information on the system and reporting against the budgeted performance. Performs ad hoc financial planning and advice for the assigned Region and legal entity as required Cross train on all areas of accounting process Other duties as assigned A bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or related education is preferred A license as a Qualified Accountant (CA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent)is required Minimum of5+years of experience in a full cycle accountingroleis required Proven experience with financial reporting requirements, general ledger functions and the month end/year end close processes and audits Demonstrated experience using knowledge of GAAP Basicknowledge ofexpense systems(SAP Concur or similar) Basicknowledge of other Reporting Tools (Jet Reports, Power BI or similar) Intermediateknowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Navision, SAP or similar) Advancedknowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Skillset Must be proficient in spoken and written English Solutions Oriented Mindset: Demonstrates resilience with analytical thinking to breakdown complex issues to resolve problems and present viable solutions Teamwork: Fosters a collaborative environment where teamwork is valued.
