HP Inc. is looking for a Data Scientist to lead complex cross‑organizational marketing and e‑commerce data science projects. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, applying advanced statistical methods, and driving data‑driven business decisions. Responsibilities Proactively review technical literature and learn new methodologies. Develop innovative solutions to new or existing business challenges. Identify business need, align with key stakeholders, organize the analytics team, and seamlessly connect model findings to business strategy. Define and implement models to uncover patterns and predictions that create business value. Lead complex cross‑organizational projects involving several Data Scientists. Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to less experienced staff. Offer domain‑specific expertise in cross‑organization projects and initiatives. Collaborate effectively with Managers, Directors, and executive leaders. Develop clear presentations for senior decision makers including case for change, options, trade‑offs, and recommendations. Manage relationships with business partners to evaluate and foster data‑driven innovation. Support the people leader with skills assessment, feedback, and hiring criteria. Translate insights into effective visualizations communicating business value and innovation potential. Maintain proficiency within the data science domain by keeping up with technology and trend shifts; contribute to industry initiatives. Knowledge & Skills Extensive experience using statistics, mathematics, algorithms, and programming languages to solve business problems. Experience in test design and measurement, customer segmentation, cleanroom technology, multi‑touch attribution, and marketing mix modeling. Ability to define and create complex models to extract valuable insights, predictions, and innovation from data. Effective and creative storytelling and data visualization skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Proficiency in Python and SQL. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English. Ability to communicate data insights and negotiate options at senior management levels. Education & Experience Degree: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent. Typically, 6‑10 years of relevant work experience. Impact & Scope Leads complex, high‑impact initiatives influencing global marketing investment decisions. Regular interaction with senior leaders, managers, directors, and executive leadership.
