Job Overview Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Supervisor is primarily responsible for the overall human resources strategy for Cementation Mining Mexico (CMM). The role oversees strategic implementation and oversight of all HR programs in alignment with organizational goals. Job Title: HR Supervisor – CMMDepartment: Human ResourcesReports to: HR Manager HR Responsibilities Manage the HR support team at the current Mexico site(s). Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues; conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements for day‑to‑day employee management, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Provide day‑to‑day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Support labor relations and coordination with local unions. Manage onboarding and offboarding processes. Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation. Support the development and further development of the HR data model. Provide support on HRIS implementation and data management. Create detailed reports from HR data sets and systems. Support maintenance of HRIS infrastructure. Consult with management, providing HR guidance when appropriate. Analyze trends and metrics with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies. Assist with work visas for expatriate visitors and employees and support overall mobility of employees. Support operational needs in workforce planning and succession planning. Participate in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Support the HR Manager in assigned HR initiatives. Perform other related duties as assigned. Payroll Responsibilities Update payroll records by entering changes in tax withholdings/exemptions, insurance coverage, job/title, regular and bonus rates, and department/site transfers. Manage workflow to ensure all payroll‑related updates are processed accurately and timely. Verify timesheets and process employee paychecks semi‑monthly. Coordinate with 3rd‑party payroll services. Support transition of payroll service system initiatives. Resolve payroll discrepancies through monthly audits and by collecting and analysing information. Provide payroll‑related information by answering questions efficiently. Post payroll journal entries. Enter employee information into payroll software from multiple forms. Handle all requests from employees and vendors in a timely and efficient manner. Handle all government agencies and third‑party requests in a professional and courteous manner. Health & Safety Work in compliance with all Cementation health and safety rules and regulations. Incorporate health and safety considerations in all functions and daily activities of the position. Monitor the work environment for health and safety hazards or infractions and report them to the Health and Safety Department. Keep the work area clean and free of clutter. Use proper equipment for the job, e.g., stepladder instead of chair. Travel Requirements This position will be required to travel regularly to sites, and may require international travel. A valid passport and authorization to travel internationally are required. Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required. 7+ years of HR experience required. 5+ years in a supervisor or senior role. 3+ years of experience in payroll processing. Strong understanding of Mexico labor laws required. Experience in union relations required. Experience in the mining industry is an asset. Certificates and Language HR certification preferred (e.g., HRCI, SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP). Fluent in English, both oral and written. Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent conflict resolution skills. Ability to manage confidential communications and information. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies. Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors. Excellent time‑management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Extensive knowledge and experience working with HRIS systems including data management and integration. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Pro, or related software. Strong work ethic and positive team attitude. High level of confidentiality.
