Senior Snowflake ETL Developer Virtualent About the Role: We’re looking for a Senior Snowflake ETL Developer to join our team! If you’re passionate about data, have 7+ years of experience working with ETL/ELT tools, and thrive in dynamic environments — we want to hear from you. You’ll be a key player in developing, consulting, implementing, and supporting ETL initiatives with technologies like Snaplogic, Snowflake, and DataStage , all while helping shape robust data warehousing solutions. What You’ll Do: Develop, implement, and monitor ETL processes using Snaplogic, Snowflake, and DataStage Gather and analyze business requirements, define architecture, and design robust solutions Work hands‑on with SQL/PLSQL, SnowSQL , and DataStage (v11.3 preferred) in a UNIX environment Build data warehousing and data mart solutions to meet business needs Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile tools like JIRA Use Python/UNIX scripting for ETL automation Manage scheduling tools such as Tidal or ActiveBatch Work with version control tools like GitHub Troubleshoot, problem‑solve, and proactively improve existing systems Handle multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and work both independently and as part of a team What We’re Looking For: 7+ years of relevant experience in ETL/ELT development and data integration Expertise in Snowflake, DataStage, Datastage (11.3), Snaplogic, AWS Strong SQL/PLSQL, SnowSQL skills Hands‑on experience in UNIX scripting and automation Solid knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud migration projects Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies Familiarity with GitHub , scheduling tools (Tidal/Active Batch) , and JIRA Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment Nice to Have: Cloud migration & reverse engineering experience Experience defining and implementing error and exception handling strategies Leadership and customer‑facing experience Benefits: A dynamic and collaborative work environment.
