The Opportunity This role is well suited for a finance professional who understands both FP&A and the realities of client finance in an agency setting. You will help shape budgets, forecasts, and business decisions while also improving the financial discipline behind client work, staffing plans, statements of work, and revenue recognition. What You'll Do Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting and forecasting processes across the business. Prepare management reporting packages that turn financial results into clear variance analysis, trends, and actionable insights. Partner with department leaders to track expenses, identify efficiency opportunities, and improve cost visibility. Support long-range planning, scenario modeling, and strategic planning initiatives that guide business decisions. Improve reporting and analytics by helping develop better financial systems, tools, and processes. Monitor cash flow projections and provide leadership with visibility into business performance and financial risk. Work closely with account management and operations to prepare client estimates, staffing plans, statements of work, and reconciliations. Track client profitability, support revenue recognition, and help ensure billing and invoicing align with contractual terms. Identify out-of-scope work and help account teams address change orders before they affect margin. Serve as a key liaison with the external accounting provider by supplying schedules, documentation, and support for monthly close, reconciliations, and audits. Review financial statements for accuracy and completeness and help strengthen accounting workflows and system integrations. What Success Looks Like In the first 6 to 12 months, success in this role will look like: Building a reliable budgeting and forecasting cadence that gives leadership clearer visibility into performance and future planning. Improving the quality and usefulness of management reporting so business leaders can act faster on trends, margin shifts, and cost drivers. Strengthening client finance discipline through more accurate estimates, better profitability tracking, and tighter management of revenue recognition and invoicing. Identifying out-of-scope work and margin risks earlier so teams can address them before they affect performance. Creating stronger coordination between internal stakeholders and the external accounting provider to improve close accuracy, reporting consistency, and workflow efficiency. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who combines strong analytical capability with practical agency finance experience. The strongest candidates will bring: Experience in a financial analyst or FP&A role within an agency environment. Strong understanding of client finance, job-based accounting, and project-based revenue recognition. Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis in a fast-moving business setting. Ability to work cross-functionally with account, operations, leadership, and external accounting partners. Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Experience working with outsourced or external accounting providers is preferred.
