Classify carriers by role (strategic, niche, etc.) and invest time as appropriate. Develop strategic Top to Top relationships with key carriers. Lead efforts to develop strong relationships at all levels – executive levels at carrier and Crane, execution focused meetings between carrier Sales / Ops and Crane account teams. Identify new carriers to add to the core carrier base or to migrate from non-strategic to strategic roles. Monitor the purchased transportation spend of assigned carriers. Work directly with compliance to help identify and fix carrier issues related to tender acceptance and carrier service percentages Lead or assist in problem resolution between accounts and carriers. Identify available capacity for difficult lanes and recommend carriers Assist in the efforts to confirm committed capacity, negotiate carrier contracts and rates #J-18808-Ljbffr
