Principal Engineer Clerk – Ciudad Juárez Job Function: Supply Chain Manufacturing | Sub Function: Manufacturing Assembly | Job Category: Business Enablement/Support | Location: Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico Role Summary: We are searching for the best talent for Principal Engineer Clerk to be in Ciudad Juárez. This position supports validation projects, process improvements, and a wide range of engineering tasks under the supervision of the engineering manager. Key Responsibilities: Support validation projects and process improvements. Follow compliance and EHS policies and guidelines. Perform and document activities for IQ, OQ, and PQ. Support creation of production documentation and provide input into new product BOMs, routings, and DMR. Support raw material and supplier qualifications. Support closure of NCRs, CAPAs, audit observations, ergonomics and safety‑related action items. Support critical engineering tasks in other departments as assigned. Use project management tools and methodologies to deliver projects on‑time, on‑budget, and on‑scope. Serve as the engineering approver for process development studies and validation documentation when authorized. Perform complex assignments designed to continue the development of professional work knowledge and abilities requiring advanced application of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Perform work involving complex conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment with highly complex features for which there may be no precedents. Support the design of experiments and capability studies; develop process specifications; design and procure process tooling. Analyze new processes and equipment with the intent of achieving continuous improvement of present methods. Communicate and monitor process and material quality targets. Measure performance to targets and implement remedial actions as instructed. Develop process documentation and training materials for new processes, materials, and equipment. Communicate business‑related issues or opportunities to next management level. Ensure personal and company compliance with all federal, state, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures. Perform other duties assigned as needed. Support revision of documentation through Adaptive, including VMP tasks. An internal pre‑identified candidate for consideration has been identified. However, all applications will be considered. Qualifications / Requirements: A minimum of a High School Diploma and an Engineering Bachelor’s Degree completed or in progress. Six to eight years of experience in related fields, or currently pursuing an Engineering Bachelor’s Degree with at least half of the required credits completed or recently completed. Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred). Computer skills: Excel (including charts/graphs), Word, Internet Explorer. Experience in a medical device manufacturing environment (preferred). Knowledge of medical product and process design concepts such as development, materials, standardization science, and basic statistics (preferred). Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet analysis, presentation graphics, some engineering analysis, and some statistical software (Minitab preferred). Analytical thinking to provide and lead product inquiry investigations. Ability to work in a cross‑functional team to complete projects, known in PE tools such as Kaizen. Ability to solve basic problems using FI methodologies such as Five Whys, 5Ms, and others.
